This news came in late last night from Three Lobed Recordings:
Sorry for the random update, but Three Lobed Recordings is extremely sad to pass along news that our dear friend Jack Rose passed away this morning in Philadelphia at the age of 38. This news is still fresh to us and we're still trying to process it. Jack was a warm, caring person and was always a pleasure to be around. His larger than life spirit will truly, truly be missed even moreso than his inspired musical ability. Our deepest sorrow goes out to his wife.
Jack Rose (February 16, 1971 – December 5, 2009)
RIP Jack Rose

So sad. I saw him twice (Amsterdam & Paris). I was crazy about this guy. World is a mess somtimes... RIP.
I, among may, many others am sorrowed by this loss, and though the world will be a lesser place without Jack Rose, it will also be the better by his legacy.
This blog doesn't aim to hinder sales of records - without people willing to risk their own money on making and releasing music we would not have the entertainment in the first place - and so 99% of releases posted are out of print. If a release isn't and/or you would like the download removed then please either leave a comment or email disconcertedsounds [at] gmail (com) with the release in the subject line - comments are generally more efficient.

From all the videos I've seen of him, it looks like he was impressive live.
38 is much to young for anyone, and from what I've been reading it was a heart attack. A real shame.
Definitely, Lex. Hopefully his music will reach audiences for years to come and leave a deserving memory.
